REGULATION

Souza Lima is a Company affiliated to the Brazilian Mercantile Exchange, BBM (Bolsa Brasileira de Mercadorias), also known as the Brazilian Agribusiness Exchange. BBM develops commercial activities in marketing agricultural products and provides services for the acquisition of goods and services. We are a member of Junta de Corretores de Algodão (The Board of Cotton Brokers) which is an auxiliary body to the Mercantile Exchange Board. BBM Cotton Lint Market Regulation supports all of our business.

BBM also provides a cotton contract registration system for all associated brokerages in the physical market. To support this registration, the Câmara Arbitral (The Arbitral Board) is in charge of solving the doubts existing in the sales and purchase agreement of agricultural products registered in the Mercantile Exchange. For this purpose, it uses the existing mechanism in the Arbitration Law (9.307/ 1996) bringing business fluidity, confidentiality and technical improvement to the decision- making process.

ICA has the participation of traditional and active players from all over the world.
